Ragi Cheela
Ragi Cheela is a nutritious and easy-to-make Indian dish. Ragi, also known as finger millet, is a gluten-free grain that is rich in fiber and nutrients. Here’s a recipe for ragi cheela.
Ingredients:
1 cup ragi flour
¼ cup finely chopped onions
¼ chu finely chopped tomatoes
¼ cup finely chopped bell peppers
1 green chili, finely chopped
¼ cup chopped coriander leaves
½ teaspoon cumin seeds
½ teaspoon salt (to the taste)
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
Water, as needed
Oil or ghee for cooking
Instruction:
- To make ragi cheela, mix ragi flour, onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, green chili, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, salt, and turmeric powder in a bowl.
- Gradually add water to form a smooth batter and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
- Heat a greased non-stick pan, pour the batter, and spread it into a thin cheela.
- Cook until golden brown and crispy, then flip and cook the other side. Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
