Nankhatai
Nankhatai is an Indian sweet cookie made with ghee, wheat flour, and sugar. The aroma of this sweet reminds you of your childhood memories. We are going to tell you the easiest recipe without an oven that you can enjoy on your weekends. Let’s start with the ingredients.
INGREDIENTS:
• 2 ½ tbsp Semolina
• 1 tbsp chickpea flour
• 1 cup flour
• 3/4 cup of sugar
• 1 tsp Baking powder
• 2 cups of ghee
• ½ tsp cardamom powder
• Chopped pistachios
• ½ kg Salt (for baking)
LET’S MAKE
Step 1- Add flour, semolina, and chickpea flour to a bowl and mix them well.
Step 2- In another bowl combine ½ cup of ghee and powdered sugar. Keep mixing this paste until it becomes puffy and in a thick consistency.
Step 3- Once it’s done, add cardamom powder and baking powder to it. Mix them well.
Step 4- Add flour mixture to this paste and make a good dough. You can use milk if it seems dry.
Step 5- For baking, keep the cooker on gas with salt. Place a stand on the cooker so you can place a plate over it. let the cooker heat up well on a high flame.
Step 6- Now, take a small piece of your dough and give it a shape like nankhatai. Grease the plate with ghee before placing the nankhatai on it.
Step 7- You can make some designs with the help of a fork and garnish pistachios over them.
Step 8- When the cooker is heated, place the plate over the stand and cover the cooker.
Step 9- Bake them for 5-6 minutes, Take out the plate carefully. Keep them aside to cool off.
Step 10- Your mouth-watering and super delicious cookies are ready to taste.
