Besan Ladoo

Who doesn’t like Besan ke laddu? It’s a popular Indian sweet made by roasting gram flour and ghee. The most important thing is to roast the flour properly, you would feel the aromatic flavor. Let’s start with the ingredients:


  • 1 ½ bowl besan (gram flour)
  • 1 bowl ghee
  • 1 bowl powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Chopped nuts (such as almonds or cashews)


Step 1-  Take a non-stick pan or any pan and put 1 ½ bowls of besan into it. Roast the besan to low-medium heat and stir constantly to ensure even roasting.

Step 2-  Once the besan is roasted properly add a bowl of ghee to the besan and begin to roast it on low to medium-low heat. Keep stirring constantly until besan will go from pale yellow to a golden-brown color and will release a nutty aroma.

Step 3-  Once the besan is roasted, turn off the heat and let it cool slightly. Gradually add powdered sugar to the besan mixture and combine it thoroughly.

Step 4 –  Now shape it into small ladoos with your hands and you can garnish it with chopped nuts.

Step 5-  Enjoy these delicious besan ke ladoo as a delightful dessert or share them with family and friends during special occasions.
