Banana Kheer Recipe

It is a healthy treat that may be made at any time. A mouthwatering dessert that can be made for festivals and special occasions is Banana Kheer. You can have this delectable dessert while you’re fasting as well. It’s a fantastic complement to the diet and is high in protein.

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1-liter milk
  • ½ cup condensed milk
  • ¼ cup rice, washed and soaked for 30 minutes
  • ¼ cup sugar (adjust according to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
  • A handful of chopped nuts
  • A pinch of saffron strands
  • Ghee, 2 tablespoons

Instructions:

  • Fry Chopped nuts in ghee until golden brown. Set aside.
  • Bring milk to a boil in a large saucepan, then simmer on low heat.
  • Drain and add soaked rice to the milk. Cook for 30-40 minutes until rice is soft and milk thickens. Mash banana and set aside.
  • Add mashed bananas to the saucepan and mix well. And add condensed milk and sugar, stirring until combined.
  • Cook for another 5-10 minutes until creamy. Add cardamom powder and saffron (if using), and mix well.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  • Garnish with fried nuts and refrigerate for a few hours before serving chilledd
