Watermelon Shikanji
Watermelon Shikanji is a refreshing and delicious drink popular in India, especially during the summer season. Here’s a simple recipe to make Watermelon Shikanji
Ingredients:
2 cups watermelon cubes (seedless)
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
Sugar (adjust according to taste)
¼ Black salt
¼ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
A pinch of black pepper powder
Ice cubes
chilled water
Instructions:
- In a blender, add the watermelon cubes and blend until smooth and pulpy then strain the watermelon juice through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove any pulp and seeds.
- Add fresh lemon juice, sugar, black salt roasted cumin powder, and black pepper powder and mix everything together to the watermelon juice.
- Tear a few fresh mint leaves and add them to the mixture for extra flavor. You can also keep some mint leaves for garnishing.
- Add ice cubes to individual serving glasses, pour the watermelon Shikanji into the glass, garnish with mint leaves, and serve chilled.
