Watermelon Shikanji

Watermelon Shikanji is a refreshing and delicious drink popular in India, especially during the summer season. Here’s a simple recipe to make Watermelon Shikanji

Ingredients:

 2 cups watermelon cubes (seedless)

 ¼ cup fresh lemon juice

 Sugar (adjust according to taste)

 ¼ Black salt

 ¼ teaspoon roasted cumin powder

 A pinch of black pepper powder

 Ice cubes

 chilled water

Instructions:
  1. In a blender, add the watermelon cubes and blend until smooth and pulpy then strain the watermelon juice through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove any pulp and seeds.
  2. Add fresh lemon juice, sugar, black salt roasted cumin powder, and black pepper powder and mix everything together to the watermelon juice.
  3. Tear a few fresh mint leaves and add them to the mixture for extra flavor. You can also keep some mint leaves for garnishing.
  4. Add ice cubes to individual serving glasses, pour the watermelon Shikanji into the glass, garnish with mint leaves, and serve chilled.
