Chicken Korma

Chicken Korma Recipe:

Here’s a traditional recipe-

Ingredients:

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 onions, finely sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
  • Sliced almonds or cashews (optional)

Instructions:

  • Marinate the chicken pieces in yogurt, turmeric powder, chili powder, ground coriander, and salt for at least 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil and ghee in a large pan over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
  • Add the marinated chicken along with the marinade to the pan. Cook until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  • Sprinkle garam masala and adjust salt according to taste.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and sliced almonds or cashews if desired.
  • Serve hot with naan, rice, or roti.
