Majjige Buttermilk Recipe:

Here is the process of making this drink: 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of Yogurt 
  • 4 cups of Cold water 
  • 1 piece of Ginger
  • 2-3 Green Chilies
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves
  • 10-12 Curry Leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • A pinch of Hing Salt to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon of oil 
  • 1 Lemon (optional)

Instructions:

  • Prepare the buttermilk base 
  • Flavoring Majjige by adding ginger, green chilis, and coriander leaves 
  • Prepare the Tadka by oil, adding cumin seeds, curry leaves, and pinch of hing (over medium heat)
  • Pour the tadka into the prepared buttermilk base 
  • Do the final touch by adding salt and fresh lemon squeezed into it
